Hooters likes to motivate its staff with prizes for top sellers. Playing on a classic pun, management at one restaurant promised a “Toyota” (never in writing), but delivered a toy Yoda. This all happened back in 2002, but the case has finally reached a settlement. According to USA Today, the settlement was large enough for her to go buy any Toyota she wants.

That sucks on so many levels. I can’t believe anyone thought this would be a funny April Fools joke. If Hooters issued an apology ( I hope so) I missed it but understand that it was one store gone rouge on them. She deserves the car.

Well, dang. The article said it was written in 2002, but updated this morning , so I assumed they just settled. I just cross-checked with some other sites and it was settled in 2002. Why the hell would they update it and repost it this morning? What changed?
